Lifework
Education
Lifework is both an American Heart Association (AHA) and American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) Training Center. As such, we offer a variety of training courses last year teaching over 1000 students basic and advanced life support skills.
We conveniently travel to your worksite, community center, or private home for customized courses. Lifework instructors are carefully selected professionals dedicated to saving lives.

below courses can be combined and customized to fit your organization’s
needs. Private courses for 1-2 individuals are also available. Contact

Basic Life Support (CPR & AED)
AHA HeartSaver AED (Adult) 3 to 4 hour course. Educates rescuers in the use of the AED, management of foreign body airway obstruction, and the performance of CPR. Designed to strengthen the chain of survival in public assess defibrillation programs.
AHA HeartSaver AED with Pediatric CPR
4 to 5 hour course. As above with Pediatric CPR.
AHA BLS for Healthcare Provider Recertification
This 2-part process is designed for current professionals needing renewal. Part 1 is conducted in an e-learning environment through the AHA website. Part 2 is a skills check conducted at our office.

First
Aid & Related
AHA
HeartSaver First Aid Provider
4-hour course. Teaches rescuers to effectively recognize and treat adult
emergencies in the critical first minutes until EMS personnel arrive.
ASHI
Adult First Aid
4-hour course. Program participants learn to recognize the signs and symptoms
of injuries and sudden illness in a fun and interactive environment.
ASHI
Bloodborne Pathogens
This program includes information that will help students understand what bloodborne pathogens are and how to reduce risk of exposure. The program assists in satisfying the training requirements of the US Department of Labor, OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard.
ASHI Oxygen Administration
This program focuses on administering emergency oxygen, rescue breathing
and oxygen delivery devices.
Advanced
Cardiac Life Support
AHA
ACLS Provider
2 days, 6 to 8 hours each. Designed to teach providers the knowledge and
skills needed to evaluate and manage the first ten minutes of an adult
VF/VT arrest. Students are expected to learn to manage ten core ACLS cases.
Heartcode® ACLS Anywhere Recertification & Skills Check
AHA offers a version of the ACLS course through an e-learning environment. Complete the 10 core cases and exam on your own computer and have your skills reviewed at our training center.
